Another day...

Friday's Fun
(The condensed version)

Mom: feeding Parker upstairs for about 5 min. All children there and accounted for.

Brooklyn: disappeared into kitchen. Found bowl, filled with butter, and whipping cream. Used microwave.

Dallin: found the tub o' butter

Mom: smelled something burning. Found children. No one hurt. Took pictures.

Later that day...

Brooklyn and Dallin: wrestling, laughing.

Dallin: Crying. Hurt. Can't put weight on his left leg.

Mom: freaking out. Thinking about Brandon still out of town. Already spent several hours at the doctors office yesterday.

Mom: still freaking out.

Dallin: can put weight on his leg. walks. Runs and falls a lot.

Even Later...

Dallin is fine, but still falls and then opts to crawl instead.

Mom: still nervous, but I am a worrier...that is what I do.

Mom: Brandon please come home! We miss you!

Trip to Utah!

We decided Friday night that we were both going to Utah Sat morning...the next day! Wow, impulsive! I don't think we could have had a better 3 days!

It was so good to see everyone though! We sure packed it in and had a great time!
We went to a wedding and a birthday celebration on Sat. (Congrats Adam and Julie, and Happy birthday Uncle Brad)

Sunday we had breakfast at Tyler and Nina's, visited Grandpa and Grandma Western, church, and then Perrier family dinner (including all my siblings except Randall and his family in Texas...we missed you!) Sunday night we had family bonding time until the wee hours on the morning.

Monday more family time, and lunch with some high school friends and then off too the airport!

That was the trip in a nutshell! It was great!

A HUGE, HUGE, Huge thanks to Devin and Leslie for watching Brooklyn and Dallin the WHOLE time at the drop of a hat! You guys are the best!

Here are some pictures of cousin time, Grandma Marian, Grandma and Grandpa Western and traveling with the twins. I wish we had our camera more of the time! Thanks to J.J. for most of these pics!

A real live mail person and Brooklyn's recipes

Brooklyn came down in this outfit and said she was dressed as a real live mail person.
Then she got 3 letters and a package ready to deliver. She wanted to stop at random houses on the way to play group and "deliver" her letters. Luckily I was able to convince her to deliver them to her friends at play group.

Brooklyn also likes to write recipes. The hard part is making it edible and convincing her that the ingredients that I use are the ones she has supposedly written. Here we have her strawberry pie. It had a graham cracker, Jello, strawberries and whipping cream. After that great version of pie, she insisted that there were still two more ingredients missing....what else could I possible throw in there??? I ended up puting sugar and pineapple on top too.

Another recipe we made was rice crispy treat muffins. She was pretty upset when it looked like regular rice Crispy treats, so we put some in baking cups and wallah!

A Couple New Blogs

I don't know how many of you know, but Elena has developed a photography hobby (you could probably tell from the many photos she posts here in the family blog). I know I am a little biased, but I think she is getting pretty good and I wanted to provide a venue for her to share some of her work outside of the family blog.

I decided I am too cheap/busy right now to setup a website for her (plus we have a really hard time agreeing on a website address), but instead I created a blog where she can showcase her work and post albums of her photo shoots.

The new blog is: http://thecampgallery.blogspot.com. I encourage you to go check it out and see some of the marvelous work she has done.

On a side note, I have decided to find a better venue for my wry and witty sense of humor, and I am starting my own personal blog at http://campchitchat.blogspot.com.

Memory Lanes...ha!

A few friends have recently tried this and it has been really fun to read! So go a head, give it a whirl!

Here is a fun little game... Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. On your mark...get set...blog your memories!!

Sweet Innocence

Brooklyn has been asking a lot of questions lately about dying. I can't remember how it started, but here is a cute quote:

"Mom, can we get old together so you can show me how to find Heavenly Father?"

Brooklyn likes to teach FHE about sharing and obedience. A few days later she said,
"I am going to talk to Heavenly Father to tell him about my great lesson I did".
