Sucker!

My dear sweet Brooklyn has a hard time pooping (sorry if this is too graphic). She is on medicine for it, but occasionally it is still difficult for her. One day I couldn't get her to stay on the potty very long to even try, so I offered her a sucker to keep her there. It didn't work, she refused the sucker. But the next day she requests the sucker while doing her business. A few minutes later I hear, "Mom! It worked! The sucker helped me!"

So who is the sucker? Me or her? Does she really think it helped her or did she decide that is a good way to get a sucker?

On the subject of suckers, I went to Sam's Club yesterday with all 4 kids to do the monthly shopping. It was quite the ordeal. But suckers are the key! The kids get sticky, but they are good and quiet 99% of the time with suckers! It makes shopping so much easier.

Not in Utah anymore...

While shopping at Sam's I had a baby strapped to me, Dallin and one twin in the front of the cart and Brooklyn riding on the side of the cart. I got so many looks and comments and more stares.
The comments are always the same,
"Looks like you have your hands full",
"Are they all yours?",
"You are a saint" ( I am not sure how this makes me a saint, but I get this one a lot!).
My favorite from yesterday was the cashier. After buying an overloading cart full of stuff she asked,
"Did you do all this yourself?"
I knew I was crazy attempting the WHOLE months worth of shopping there myself, but I was ready to have the diapers and food, and I didn't want to wait. I am a little independent. Some may call me stubborn. But it all worked out thanks to the SUCKERS!

Thanks to my mom who sent us the suckers in a care package!

Ha, love it! My favorite was when my friend had all her kids at Costco and someone asked her if they all had the same dad. You are amazing Lanes--how did you fit anything in the cart with the kids in there?

Wow, and I was feeling good about just staying home alone with my 3! I did take the older two to the grocery store today and they both were screaming at the top of their lungs, trying to get out of the cart and Ellie even peed herself.... hope your trip went more smoothly.

I actually haven't got the "did you do this all yourself" that's a new one. For me it's usually 2 carts both with kids. You can just see people counting and then recounting. I usually tell them that I just found some in the parking lot and decided to bring them in with me.

So funny...I do most of my shopping at Sams and HEB since they both have carts with two kid seats. But, no one that knows you can doubt that you really are a saint...not because you have 4 kids, but because you are an amazing woman and I'm grateful to call you my friend.

Not only that, but you were also able to answer your cell phone when I called too! That's impressive. You must've had a hand free and moreover, no one was crying in the background. I'm so impressed. You're amazing!

Suckers are a life saver at our house too. I even gave one to little Molly so I could stay in Relief Society a little longer on Sunday.
