Lotion, Pee, Sugar etc!

I am think I am learning to have a sense of humor about the trouble my kids get into...

Story #1: Brooklyn and the Lotion

Brooklyn and Dallin are now sharing a room (since the arrival of the twins), but I have found that nap time doesn't happen if I put them in the same room, so Brooklyn gets to take a nap in mommy and daddy's bed.

Well, the pictures below show what happens when a curious 3 year-old finds a bottle of lotion during nap time. I jusy wish I had taken a picture of her when she came down...Her face was covered with a THICK layer of lotion. her hands, feet and clothing were also covered. The only reason she stopped was because the lotion was gone!

Later that day she had an accident...this was one of my first days by myself...I was in tears. But I decided that I needed to step back and realize it wasn't the end of the world.

Story #2: Dallin and the Sugar
A few days later...I had decided to take pictures before clean up started. Notice Dallin's hair.

Another Dallin incident: Dallin was playing in some water in the kitchen sink while dinner was being prepared. The next thing I know Parker was screaming. Dallin had filled a bottle with water and dumped it on Parker. This was in his first few weeks of life, I wasn't happy...but it is just water.

Life has been a little crazy, but overall we are doing fine. Mostly due to our amazing moms who were here for the first 4 and a half weeks. Also the incredible ward full of people bringing us dinner, coming in to hold the babies, an those who have taken Brooklyn ad Dallin out to the park, library or to their house. We have been so blessed!

THANK YOU EVERYONE!

I wish you still lived here so we could see the babies and help out, but I'm glad you have a great ward up there that is taking care of you. I miss you a lot and wish we were able to chat more. I love your family, and the stories...totally precious!

Holy cow Lanes. Sounds like a crazy house of 4 kids!!! You have such a good attitude--I could take a lesson from you. Taking pictures is a good way to see the humor in things (too bad you still have to clean up)!

Welcome to the world of lots of kids. My friend Christin(her blog link is on my page) has two sets of twin girls. That gives her a total of 5 kids 4 years and under. If you need someone to feel your pain go visit her site. Take a deep breath and blog more. I have always said that kids give us the best writing material:)

Oh I had to laugh when I saw this blog... I just have two kids and have experienced all of those messes. I must say that I surprise myself because when my kids do something so bad I always have a strange calm come over me, I usually grab the camera and then I calmly tell them that we shouldn't do that anymore and then clean it up. It must be a coping mechanism or something so I don't beat my children. :) P.S. I wouldn't really beat my kids, but sometimes I debate about selling them on ebay or craigslist.

Holy smokes! What an adventurous day! I was just telling my neighbor about you today (I hope you don't mind) about what an AMAZING mommy you are! So "chill" about everything and you make it look/seem so easy...even with 4 kids under the age of 4! You're amazing and such a good example of a great attitude! Love ya!
